The tenth Craft + Design Canberra Festival runs from 1–10 November 2024. Presenting an exciting program of exhibitions and activations responding to the Festival theme of Regenerate, the Festival celebrates Canberra as a creative capital and a global city of design.
Connecting Canberra's community with over 500 artists, craftspeople, designers and architects, the 2024 Festival advocates for design thinking, collaboration and making by hand to generate innovation and solve problems, providing hope for our future.

UNESCO CITY OF DESIGN
As part of the 2026 Craft + Design Canberra Festival (5–15 November 2026), a series of major ArtsACT-funded projects will showcase the strength and diversity of Canberra’s creative community.
These projects bring together artists, designers, cultural organisations and creative businesses working across craft and design to present ambitious new work that engages with ideas, place and public life. They reflect Canberra’s growing reputation as a city shaped by design—and its ambition to become a UNESCO City of Design.
Aligned with the 2026 Festival theme of Dissent, the projects invite audiences to experience creativity as a catalyst for questioning, dialogue and fresh perspectives, celebrating the role of design in shaping how we live, connect and imagine the future.
