Ginko Cottage is Leanne’s potter's studio tucked into a small corner of her garden. It is a quiet space where clay, sunlight and her imagination meet. Here she shapes simple, earthy forms inspired by nature’s calm rhythms, letting each piece carry a sense of stillness, presence, and handcrafted beauty in every creative moment. Visitors will be able to wander around the studio, explore her garden, featuring ceramic sculptural pieces, and purchase ceramic works.

Leanne McKenzie is an emerging ceramic artist living on Ngunnawal/Ngambri Country in Canberra. She discovered her passion for pottery six years ago and has since embraced every opportunity to refine her craft. Inspired by the natural environment, Leanne creates sculptural totems that bring presence and colour to gardens and interiors. Her totems were featured in the 2024 Craft + Design Canberra Emerging Contemporaries exhibition, marking a significant milestone in her early career.
Alongside these works she explores diverse forms including flowers, planters, bells, mobiles, feeding vessels, and vases. Experimenting with clays, underglazes, glazes, and lustres at mid to high firing temperatures, she continues to expand her practice through texture, colour and design. Based in Nicholls, Canberra, Leanne balances her creative journey with part-time work as a primary school teacher, nurturing both her students and their evolving artistic vision.
