Gugan Gulwan is a project that truly represents the community it serves. A space for First Nations people to gather, connect and share, in a building that feels safe, culturally considered, and strongly identifiable. The outcome is an outstanding new purpose-built facility, designed and delivered with deep community consultation, welcoming both local and National First Nations people.

Gugan Gulwan supports at risk Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth and is a culturally considered space that was designed by COX architecture in collaboration with ck architecture, to offer a building not only reflective of its function, but more significantly, its people and place.  An uplifting space, its design responds to Country and community, supporting Country to flow through the site and define gathering spaces within the project. Careful consideration has been made to reflect and embed First Nations culture in all aspects of the building, including the significant artwork integration.

Proudly supported by Australian Institute of Architects
