Craft + Design Canberra is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible Festival. We welcome people with disability, including people who are d/Deaf, blind or have low vision, neurodivergent people, and people with physical, sensory, intellectual, cognitive and psychosocial disability.

We also recognise that access requirements are diverse and we encourage anyone who requires support to contact us so we can make their visit as accessible as possible.

Access services may vary between events. Please check individual listings for specific access information. Festival program pages include venue accessibility information. We recommend you read the detailed venue access information for each venue and contact each venue before booking tickets to ensure access needs can be met.

Below you will find details of specific access services offered as part of the 2026 Craft + Design Canberra Festival program.

Access services for events across the program can be viewed below or by visiting specific program pages.

Bookings for most access services can be made online (including companion card bookings). Alternatively, you can arrange an access booking callback by leaving us a message on (02) 6262 9333 or emailing access@craftanddesigncanberra.org.

  • Auslan Interpretation | Auslan interpretation is available at selected events.

  • Audio Description | Audio description is available at selected events.

  • Guide and Assistance Dogs | Guide and assistance dogs are welcome at most Festival venues.

  • Quiet and Low Sensory Spaces | Quiet or Low Sensory spaces are available at selected Festival venues. Please check individual event and venue information for availability.

companion cards

Companion Card holders are entitled to a free companion ticket to events managed by Craft + Design Canberra and performances. Companion Card tickets are available with the purchase of a paid ticket.

national relay service

If you are d/Deaf or are Hard of Hearing, the National Relay Service (NRS) can help you. Depending on the type of call, a Relay Officer will change voice to text or text to voice. They can also change Auslan to English or English to Auslan.
