Step into the creative world of Lisa Cahill at her Open Studio, a light filled and fully equipped kiln and cold working workshop in Fyshwick. Visitors are invited to tour the studio and see where Lisa’s internationally renowned glass installations are created. Works in progress, finished artworks and jewellery will be on display and available for purchase.
Discover how Lisa transforms flat glass into unique sculptural pieces and take part in a hands-on activity by creating your own glass badge or pendant to take home as a keepsake. Whether you are visiting for the first time or are a longtime art lover, this Open Studio offers a welcoming opportunity to meet the artist, learn about her process and celebrate the beauty of handmade glass.

Lisa Cahill is an internationally acclaimed glass artist celebrated for her kiln-formed sculptures and installations. Since graduating from Monash University in 2000, she has exhibited widely across Australia and internationally. Her works appear in major public and private collections, including commissions for Tiffany & Co. in Australia and China and The Sir John Monash Centre in France. Recent projects include installations for Vacheron-Constantin in Sydney and Nobu Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia USA. In 2024 she presented her first US solo exhibition at Sense Fine Art, California. Lisa’s work is featured in publications such as Australian Glass Today, Contemporary Glass and New Glass Review. She has undertaken residencies at Northlands Creative (Scotland) and Bullseye Glass (USA), and received the 2018 Art Group Creative Fellowship at Canberra Glassworks. Having lived and worked across Europe and Australia she now creates from her studio in Canberra, surrounded by the region’s natural beauty.
