Explore the CIT Woden Campus and Transport Interchange, one of Canberra's most remarkable contemporary buildings, a 22,500 square metre, 6 Star Green Star education precinct and home to the largest mass timber building by volume in Australia.

Four sweeping curved volumes, connected by glazed links, enclose a landscaped urban realm and frame the precinct gateway. Their orientation maximises sunlight while sheltering occupants from cold winter winds, and the building challenges the norms of institutional design at every turn.

Integral to the design is the Connection to Country narrative, expressed through coloured terracotta bands across the facade representing Valley, Bush, Mountain and Sky Country, and augmented by the River Country landscape that surrounds the site.

On the Callum Street facade, bleacher stairs rise from levels one to five along a journey titled Walking the Ridgeline, where internal and external environments are beautifully mirrored. At the summit, the Level 5 Sky Country student commons is crowned by an oculus skylight, through which Mullian casts their shadow, tracing the movement of the sun across the sky.
