Explore hand-printed and naturally dyed fabrics for the home and to wear that are created in Julie Ryder’s studio and dye garden. Julie’s Open Studio will feature both exhibition quality works and product ranges available for purchase, with demonstrations held at selected times throughout the day.

Julie Ryder is a Canberra-based textile designer who has earned national and international recognition for her work. Originally trained in science, Julie uses science and nature as the main source of inspiration for her art, with a keen interest in large digital format artwork, natural dyeing, screen-printing and stitching.
Julie has maintained an active professional studio practice, exhibiting her work regularly both nationally and internationally. She has taught in tertiary institutions and community organisations for over 30 years including RMIT Textiles, Australian National University and Canberra Institute of Technology and completed a Master of Arts (Visual Arts) degree at the Australian National University School of Art in 2004.
She has been the recipient of many awards, grants and commissions and her work is represented in many public and private collections.
