Rose Marimon, also known as Rosy Myart, is a Canberra-based visual artist working exclusively in black and white. Trained in graphic design and influenced by the visual culture of the 1980s, she began her art practice in 2003 and first turned to monochrome in 2005. After a period of experimentation and reflection, she re-established her practice through The Rosy Myart Project, a body of work that explores environmental and social tensions through layered abstraction.
Working from her studio at Strathnairn Arts, Rose exhibits across regional and independent spaces, and her pieces are held in private collections. Her Detours writing series, extends her practice through reflections on process, perception, environment and society.
