Explore the home studio of glass artists Rob and Rose-Mary, showcasing their work across multiple glass techniques including hot shop, kiln forming, and neon bending. Visitors can purchase hand-blown and kiln-formed glassware, view their exhibition pieces, and learn about their creative process.  

  • Rose-Mary Faulkner is a glass and print artist based in Canberra, ACT on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land. She graduated with first class honours from the Australian National University School of Art and Design in 2016 and since then has expanded and developed her artistic practice as a studio tenant at Canberra Glassworks.

    Since graduating, her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and has been acquired as part of the national glass collection at the Wagga Wagga National Art Glass Gallery. She has been included in multiple national and international prizes including the Hindmarsh Prize, Klaus Moje Glass Award, Megalo International Print Prize and the FUSE Glass Prize.

    Her practice primarily incorporates decals and imagery on glass, but recently as the 2023 Canberra Glassworks Emerging Mentor recipient, has expanded to include neon. Rose-Mary works extensively as an educator and mentor for other artists and visiting artists to the Canberra Glassworks, including previously as a sessional teach in the ANU Glass Workshop and more recently as a technical assistant for masterclasses in Australia and Pittsburgh, USA.

  • Robert Schwartz is an American glass artist, working from Canberra Glassworks while establishing his own home studio. He holds a BFA from Ball State University and a Master of Visual Arts (Advanced) from the Australian National University. Since moving to Australia, he has worked as a gaffer and assistant to leading artists, and regularly contributes to large-scale production projects.

    Robert is also a passionate educator, teaching at Canberra Glassworks and running programs for youth and emerging artists. His work has been exhibited internationally with recent recognition including the 2024 QPRC 3D Art Prize and a shortlist in the 2022 Denfair “Australia’s Next Top Designer” showcase and the 2025 Woollhara Small Sculpture Prize.
